Vecindario is a town on the southeast coast of the island of Gran Canaria and belongs to the municipality of Santa Lucia de Tirajana and is a shopping and sports town par excellence. The place is exactly in the middle between the airport and Maspalomas and is a popular tourist destination. Easily accessible directly from the motorway GC1, the city offers a considerable number of shops and shops, although the prices here can be described as “still normal” compared to the touristy south. The Atlántico shopping center is certainly the newest and largest. Modern architecture, customer-oriented opening hours, numerous specialist shops, a huge supermarket, restaurants and bars as well as a large cinema and much more can be found here.
Various activities are possible for recreational athletes. The sports palace “Pabellón Municipal de Deporte” with indoor sports hall, indoor pool and fitness studio as well as two public indoor swimming pools, an athletics and football stadium with a very nice lawn delight residents and tourists alike. The world windsurfing championships are on El Arenal beach (Pozo Izquierdo).
Also in Vecindario is the “Gran Hotel Vecindario Aeropuerto” (airport hotel), with four stars and is particularly popular for business travelers.
As a village to live, Vecindario is popular for locals and residents because as property prices for houses or apartments to sale or rent here are considerably cheaper and you can quickly reach the north or south via the direct connection from the motorway and with buses, “Guagua” called on the Canary Islands.
