Puerto Rico is a village in the southwest of the island of Gran Canaria and belongs to the municipality of Mogán, is located directly at the coast and is adapted to mass tourism. The town was opened up to tourism in the 1960s and has now grown up into both side of the valleys. The sheltered location in the bay often ensures no wind and is very popular for the tourists.
