From the port you can also reach two sea pools via the new sea promenade. Several supermarkets, pharmacy, small cozy shops, medical center, kindergarten, schools and banks. There are numerous bars and good restaurants. At the entrance to the town there is a sports center with a football stadium, a gym and even a small indoor pool.

The patron saint festival is celebrated in Castillo del Romeral over a week in autumn in honor of San Miguel (Archangel Michael) but also the Virgen del Carmen is considered. In honor of the Virgin, there is also a solemn procession from the church to the small fishing port. Here mainly local people live and work. There are apartments and houses for sale and for rent.
