Telde

Telde is a city in the east of the island and the second largest populated municipality, after Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and about 5 km from the coast. The neighboring municipalities are Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in the north, Ingenio in the south, Valsequillo in the west and Santa Brígida in the northwest. Telde developed into an important city on the island and also benefited from its proximity to the capital Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

When visiting the historic center of Telde, a walk through the oldest district of San Juan is recommended. The most important civil and religious buildings are in the area of ​​the Church of San Juan Bautista and the Plaza Mayor.
