MASPALOMAS is a town in the south of Gran Canaria. It belongs to the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. Sparsely inhabitants. It is 60 km from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and 35 km from the airport.

In the 1980s, Sonnenland and Campo International were built. The characteristic of these parts of the city is mainly bungalow complexes and many private houses. In the northern is El Tablero which is separated from the rest of the city by the highway, there are nurseries and schools for many families who live from the tourism industry.

Meloneras was created in the last 15 years. Today, this noble place continues to expand and building permits are granted exclusively for 5-star plus facilities. The centrally located casino is well suited to the hotel’s luxuriously appointed facilities, with its generous gardens and pools and its oasis-like gardens. The excellently designed seafront promenade with his restaurants, cafés and top quality bars is very popular among the wealthy guests. At the western end of the promenade you can see the idyllic marina of Pasito Blanco. At the end of this walk, a fine sand beach of 300 meters long has just been created.

Maspalomas has two fabulously designed golf courses, and the Campo Internacional complex adjacent to the El Charco Nature Reserve and the world famous dune landscape of more than 250 hectares.
